
Margie is an experienced educator and life long student with a keen interest in educational initiatives taught though a social justice lense.
Margie has extensive experience teaching a wide range of ages and demographics. She has also worked as a dog obedience trainer, yoga teacher, and national curling team coach. Her career is driven by a passion for social activism, and her desire to learn from others in order to understand and honour alternative world views.
Margie holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching (MSVU), in addition to a Masters in Special Education (Fitchburg State University), a Masters in Graduate Studies in Life Long Long Learning (MSVU), and a PhD in Education Studies (MSVU).
Margie enjoys being outdoors and is an avid bridge player. She currently lives in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, with her husband Glen and chocolate lab Brizo. She has six adult children, three grandsons, and two grand-pups!
